Spiritual Warfare: Christ Has Won the Battle For You
“Am I not Goliath, the Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? I defy the armies of Israel this day. Give me a man so we can fight each other.” When Saul and the children of Israel heard these words they were “very upset and very afraid.” And they had good reasons to be!
Goliath was a giant. Seven feet tall, wearing a
bronze body armor that weighed five thousand shekels, with a bronze javelin slung on his shoulders and carrying a spear that weighed five hundred shekels, Goliath was a sight to behold. Who wouldn’t be upset and very afraid of such a threat!
David, a young shepherd boy, still in his teens, was not. A holy boldness rose up within him as he heard this man challenge Israel. He asked permission from the frightened King Saul to go and confront Goliath on behalf of Israel. Permission obtained, David armed himself with a sling shot and five stones and marched into battle. Someone was going to die that day. Would it be David, the little boy, or Goliath, the seven-foot Giant?
“You come against me with a sword and a shield. I come against you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. And this day he will deliver you into my hands, I will cut off your head, and feed you to the birds.” So said David as he stared this giant in his face.
What courage! The times David had spent in personal worship and prayerful meditation was now generating supernatural faith and courage within him when he most needed it.
Goliath was no match for David’s faith. Within five minutes he was down, a stone from David’s sling lodged deeply into his skull. A minute later he was headless. A few minutes later the birds were having him for dinner. It’s amazing what faith in God can do.
But then something happened to King Saul and his army. Seeing what David had done to Goliath and knowing that the decapitated giant was now powerless, they lost their fear. “Then the men of Israel and Judah charged forward, shouting a battle cry. They chased the Philistines to the valley and to the very gates of Ekron.”
Two-thousand years ago, Jesus, the Son of David, asked for permission to confront the Goliath of this world on our behalf on the cross. Having received permission from the Father, Jesus engaged our enemies in combat and triumphed. He won our victory over Satan. Now sin, sickness, poverty and every other manifestation of the curse is defeated.
Child of God, your personal Goliath has been decapitated! See what Jesus has done for you. Lose your fear. Charge forward. Seize the victory already won. It is yours, in Jesus Name.

Thank you so much Bishop! Goliath is decapitated! There is nothing to hear again!
Man of God,
It is wonderful to see how the Holy Spirit works with you. This Moment of Grace is a real blessing for us and a big pain for the devil who, I know would be very happy to see it stop.
Continue to crush his head in the name of Jesus!
May God bless you abundantly.
Thank you Bishop for this article!!! If there was some type of measuring device to measure my faith or the increase of my faith (after reading this article), I am pretty sure that it would display a vast distance between the original level and the current. Man of God, Be bless forever.
The message from yesterday service was also a very Special Blessing.
This is great! Thanks Bishop!
