An Amazing Truth
Here’s an amazing truth that many in the body of Christ have missed. You are already blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ. All! And you received every blessing at the point of your salvation. Let’s explore this thought.
A few years ago, I purchased a car for my wife. Even though you may have never seen that car, would you ask me whether the car has four tires on it? Of course not! People do not purchase new cars and then return to purchase the tires for the car separately. New cars come with the four tires already attached! Similarly, if I told you I owned a German Shepherd, would you ask me if it had a tail? No, because you would know that German Shepherds are dogs born with tails.
Likewise, when we received Jesus as Savior we received everything we would ever need for life and godliness, simultaneously. Salvation came to us with every spiritual blessing attached. It came with forgiveness of sins, healing of diseases, peace of mind, wisdom, protection, fruitfulness and good success. To have Jesus in your life and still think that you lack any blessing is as silly as buying a new car and wondering whether it comes with four tires attached. Of course it does! And of course you have all things in Christ!
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:9-10 NKJV)
In Him you are complete! Lack nothing. Full. Whole. Having all necessary or appropriate parts. Wow!
The Scriptures teach that Jesus redeemed us from every curse when He Himself became a curse for us on the cross. When did Jesus receive these curses? The minute He accepted our sins. The curses that came upon Him were attached to the sins He took upon Himself. In order to be cursed with every curse, all that was necessary was for Him to take upon Himself our sins.
But the Good News is that in order to be blessed with every blessing, all that was necessary was for you to take upon you His righteousness. The blessings are attached to the gift of righteousness. They came with salvation.
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) (Romans 5:17 NKJV)
Child of God, you do not need to wonder whether God will forgive you, heal you, or provide all of your needs. He already has. And you do not need to wonder whether you have enough faith to obtain your blessings. Jesus already obtained them for you and God has already given them to you.
Are you wondering what’s your part? It’s simple. Stop trying to get through self-effort what God has already given you freely by grace. And start thanking Him for and confessing aloud that you are righteous and blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. Only believe and you will see the glory of God.
