Trust God’s Faithfulness

trust_gods_faithfulnessWe want quick answers to our prayers. And thank God, from time to time, we get them–we experience immediate manifestations! Often, however, we pray and then we wait. “You have need of patience,” the Bible says, “that after you’ve done the will of God you may receive the promise.” (Heb. 10:35)

So what should you do while you wait for the manifestation of the promises of God in your life? “We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The one who made the promise is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23 GWT)

That is what Joseph did. When the promised greatness God made to him tarried, Joseph trusted. When his brothers sold him into slavery, he trusted. When Potiphar’s wife lied on him, he trusted. When he spent years in prison for a crime he did not commit, he trusted.

Joseph knew God was faithful to Himself and would never make a promise He would not keep. And so, in spite of every negative circumstance, Joseph held firmly to his declaration of faith. And God rewarded his faith, many years later, taking him directly from the prison to the palace, making him the Prime Minister of Egypt!

What a display of faith in God’s faithfulness! What a display of the faithfulness of God!

Child of God, trust God’s faithfulness. Even when we are unfaithful, he remains faithful. He cannot deny Himself. He will take care of you.
