Possess God’s Life Now!
What saves a man’s soul? What makes a Christian victorious? Not his decision to start attending church services weekly. Nor his decision to stop doing things he knows do not please the Lord. Not even his efforts to live by the Golden Rule! None of those things is enough. Men are not just bad. They are spiritually dead. And the only solution to death is life!
And that is the solution the Gospel offers to all who believe in Jesus. Here are but a few of the huge number of Bible verses that offer life to men:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 NKJV
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” John 6:47 NKJV
Now, do not think of eternal life simply as living forever, as something that begins after you die physically. No, eternal life is divine life, the life of God Himself, imparted into your human spirit through your union with Jesus. If you are saved, you possess God’s life now.
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”I Corinthians 6:17 NKJV
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4 NKJV
The death of Jesus reconciles you to God, but it is being one spirit with the Lord, having Christ Himself as your life, that saves your spirit and makes you a supernatural being. His life joined to your spirit, working in you, makes you a partaker of the divine nature and more than a conqueror.
You should never let yourself forget, if you are in Christ, then, “You are of God, … and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” I John 4:4 NKJV
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17 KJV
Wow! As He is, so are you! You are one spirit with Christ. He is your life, now. Believe this and you will live. Believe this and you will win, every time!
(Have you received this life yet? If not, you may do so now. Pray this prayer now. “Lord, Jesus, I repent of my sins, especially the sin of unbelief. I believe you died in my place and suffered on my behalf. I believe God accepted your blood sacrifice as full payment for all my sins. I know I cannot save myself, so I ask you now to cleanse me of all my sins, and give me the gift of eternal life. Come into me now and live in me forever. Thank you, Lord. I am saved. I am forgiven. You are my life now. I am yours forever. In Jesus Name, Amen!)
