Move Mountain, Move!
“Have the faith of God,” Jesus says, literally, in Mark 11:22. Not your own faith, God’s faith. The God kind.
Now, if I say to you, “Have some water,” I am saying to you that water is present, available and accessible to you right now. Is that not so? So, when Jesus says to me, “Have the faith of God,” He is telling me, its available and accessible to me right now and I can have it and use it if I choose, to conquer a problem, obtain a breakthrough, or win a victory. Jesus is saying, if you have a mountain that needs to be removed, you can exercise the faith God gives you, the God-kind of faith, to make the mountain move.
The mountain can be anything that is standing in the way of God’s best for you, that is preventing you from experiencing God’s best. It can be sickness, poverty, marriage difficulties, anything in the way of God’s will. Nothing is impossble to you. Nothing, because you have the faith of God in you.
Now, how do you release your God-given faith to receive miracles and answers to prayer? How do you unleash the power of God for miracles? The same way God unleashed His power to accomplish His purposes for creation and the same way Jesus released God’s power to work miracles on earth. It involves words.
God believes in the power of His words. He declares: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV)
And in Job we find: “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” (Job 22:28 NKJV)
Then Paul writes: “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” (2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV)
And Jesus Himself declares:
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:22-24 NKJV)
Take all these passages together and it should become clear that God wants you to operate like He does. First, perceive His Will; second, believe His Word; third, speak to your “mountain,” believing that the very thing you are decreeing will be done for you.
You say, “I can’t do that, believe that I will have what I say. I am not God.” You certainly are not, but you don’t have to be God. You just need to be a child of God, to have His Spirit in you, to have God backing you to be able to do this.
Start believing because you are partaking of God’s nature in Christ, and are righteous in His sight, your words have great weight. That because we are a kingdom of priests, your words are highly anointed. That because those who have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign as kings in life, your words command great authority. (See Rom. 5:17, 1 Peter 2:9)
Child of God, if your world is without form and void and darkness is hovering over you, you can do something about it. But you have to open your mouth and start decreeing what you know to be God’s will for your life. Start commanding light and life to manifest and darkness to depart. Start decreeing the Word of God. That is what God did. That is what Jesus told us to do. Nothing happened until God spoke. And nothing will happen until you speak.
“Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” (Zechariah 4:7 NKJV)
So, what are you waiting for? Believe and speak. And keep believing, and keep speaking. This mountain shall be removed, “not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” (Zech. 4:6)
Remember, it is not enough to just have faith in your heart. You need to speak in order to unleash the faith of God in you to make miracles happen.
