Is God For You?
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31, 32 NASB)
To be for a person is to be in support of and in favor of that person. And to favor a person is to give that person preferential treatment over others. Stop and think about the implications.
The Word says, God is for us. This means, the Almighty, the most powerful Person in the universe, will support us and give us preferential treatment over others. He will make our interest and well-being His top priority in every situation every day.
How can we be absolutely certain this is the case? Firstly, because He said so. Secondly, because of what He did. He spared not His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all.
If anyone questions God is for us, His willingness to let His Son die so we may live should settle all doubts. How could He make such a sacrifice and not be completely devoted to us and committed to our well-being? Impossible!
And since this is the case, the text asks, who can be against us? That is, who would dare be against someone God is for? No one with any sense!
Child of God, if because He is for you, God spared not His own Son, you can be certain that because He is for you, He will bless you with all things you will ever need to make your life complete. And He will do so freely; that is, without any limitations on Him and without any charge to you.
What else would you expect from such a God!

Not even the devil in hell can be against us as long God is for us. Even though he plays with our mind by trying to make us believe that God has forgotten us by his numerous tricks. But one thing I know for sure is that the he will forever remain a looser.
