Say Good-Bye to Worry
Whom do you look to for provision, protection and promotion? If you are like most people, you are depending on yourself and because you are, you are under a lot of stress. And your life is characterized by worry, fear, and struggle. But there is a better way. It’s the way Jesus taught us to live.
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV)
I was blessed with a good earthly father. As his child, I innately knew he would do everything within his power to provide, protect and promote my welfare. I went to bed every night and woke up every day confident that my earthly father was taking care of me and supplying my needs. That’s what loving fathers do for their children! And that’s why children who have good fathers never worry about shelter or about what they will eat or drink. They know their daddy will provide.
Every good father loves his children and does all he can to ensure they are taken care of. And he will not be satisfied unless his children are doing well. If God is your Heavenly Father, and He is if Jesus is your Savior, then you can be confident He will never be content unless you are doing well. Like any truly good father, your Heavenly Father is taking care of you.
So instead of saying, “How will I make it? I have no one to help me.” you should go to bed every night and get up every morning confident your Heavenly Father loves you and He will take care of you. He knows the things you have need of before you even ask. He even takes care of the birds. Will He not take care of you, His very own child?
Child of God, get to know your Heavenly Father. Accept your Father’s love, believe your Father’s promise, and tell worry good-bye. God will provide.
Thank you Bishop, for that wonderful reminder. No need to worry at all, God who started the good working in us is able to complete in Jesus name.

Morning Bishop, ceratinly, He a perfect loving and a great caring Father
Firstly, Dr. Johnson, thank you for the apotheosized and beatify and worshipful sermon you preached on June 16. Now then, we must dismiss all carnal fear and rest peacefully in the hallow of the grasp of our Heavenly Father through our redeemer, Jesus Christ, which is the thesis of your current discourse.
