Release Greatness

120215_ReleaseYourGreatnessConsider what man has accomplished. Advances in medicine, space travel, informational technology. We will soon enter the age of the driver-less car. Push a few buttons, or speak a few words, then sit back, go to sleep, and your car will take you safely to your destination. Genuis. No other creature can do this. Greatness and genius lie inside of you for you are a man.

When God created man, He created him in His image and gave him the ability to exercise dominion on the earth.  Greatness  was built into man.  Genius was God’s gift to him. Then sin entered.  Unfortunately. But sin did not eradicate man’s greatness and genius.  It only corrupted it.

Two-thousand years ago, God became man and came to earth. And He did so, not to bury your potential as a man created in God’s image, but to deliver it from corruption. And to release it to fulfill His purpose and maximize it in Him.

“I can do all things,” Paul exclaimed with unshakable confidence, “through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)

“Most assuredly,” Jesus proclaimed, “he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (‭‭John‬ ‭14:12‬‬‬)

What an amazing promise! Whatever Jesus can do, He can do through you. And He wants to do great works, yes even greater works, through you!

Do you realize what this means? Your potential to manifest greatness in all you do is as great as Jesus Himself. He has joined Himself to you. And those who have Jesus living in them have the advantage over those who don’t.

In the Parable of the Talents, as Jesus tells it, the master gave each of his three servants large sums of money to invest on his behalf. Two of them successfully doubled their master’s money. They received high marks. One buried it. “I was afraid. I thought I might lose your money. Here is what you gave me.” No praise here.

Child of God, greatness lives in you. Originally, because you were made in God’s image. Redemptively, because Jesus lives in you. Don’t bury His greatness in you. Let Jesus deliver it from corruption and release it through you for the glory of God.
