The Enemy Within
No one can win a war if he is fighting the wrong battles, or in the wrong arena. Until you locate your enemy, you cannot experience your victory. So, which battles should you be fighting spiritually?
Just after Moses’ death, God summoned Joshua and gave him the responsibility of taking Israel into Canaan. If you are familiar with the story, you know that the Canaanites were very numerous and strong. Canaan was the land of the Hittites and the Jebusites. Of them, the spies in Numbers 13 said, “We are like grasshoppers in our eyes.”
Yet, listen to what God said to Joshua:
““Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” Joshua 1:2-5 NKJV
Observe, God does not issue any warning about the Hittites to Joshua. He does not tell him to watch out for them, or to be concerned in any way about their presence. God simply promises Joshua the land of the Hittites and tells him, in essence, “Don’t be bothered by them. They are not your problem. Leave them to me.”
But God does direct Joshua to something he is to be concerned about–his attitude and state of mind. Over and over again, as God gets Joshua ready to possess the inheritance, God tells him: “Be strong and of good courage…Only be strong and very courageous…do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Child of God, the Hittites are not your problem. So, don’t let yourself be bothered by the presence of evil people, devils, and circumstances. They do not have the power to stop you from entering into the fullness of your inheritance and enjoying the riches of Christ. They are God’s business, and He already took care of business on the Cross!
Instead of focusing on enemies that are powerless against you, fighting battles that have already been won, deal with the real enemy, the enemy within, a discouraged mind! Pay attention to the only thing that could prevent you from possessing your possessions–the state of your mind! Use God’s Word daily, meditate on it continually, keep it in your mouth always, and protect your mind from becoming overwhelmed with fear, or discouragement. Why? Because as long as you can keep the enemy out of your mind, he can not keep you out of the land!
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”” Joshua 1:9 NIV
Wow! This is exactly what I need right now! To God be the glory for his words delivered through you Bishop.
Thanks Bishop for that powerful message. I have learned that the greatest battle to fight is the battle of the mind.we need to stop looking at the problems and look to Jesus as our C.I.C.

GOLDEN NUGGETS.
THE END TIME PENTECOSTAL CHURCH IS SPIRITUALLY LOW IN QUALITY BECAUSE MOST OF THE SHEPHERDS ARE COMMUNICATING THE VERY OPPOSITE OF
