All I Can Say is “Wow!”
Too often, we allow people, circumstances, and devils to make us feel valueless. Too often, we tell ourselves we are nobodies. Far too often, we buy into the lie that nobody cares. If only we knew how much God cares, how much thought He put into creating us, and how much skill he exercised in forming every part of us, we would be tempted to fall on our knees and worship ourselves!
Every major invention began as an idea in the mind of a curious inventor. Every great building began in the thoughts of a great architect. Every exquisite work of art started as an idea within the imagination of a gifted artist. Long before greatness is manifested, it is imagined. The idea predates the reality, sometimes by days, sometimes by months, sometimes by years. Even so, long before you were created, you were imagined!
Listen to David express this wonderful truth:
“My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.” (Psalms 139:15-18 NKJV)
Paul knew this and talks about it in his letter to Ephesus. Look at how he depicts God’s work in creating us in the Amplified Version:
“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above–spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” (EPHESIANS 2:10 AMP)
Child of God, you are a divine masterpiece, a work of art. The idea of you predates you to a time before time, when in the process of creating the world, God was inspired by a vision of you. You are the present manifestation of God’s inspiration, the living expression of His thoughts, the fulfillment His dream.
You are really SOMEBODY! Somebody REALLY special! And all I can say is, “Wow!”
