Enjoy God’s Power and Favor

Do you know it is easy to experience God’s power and favor in your life and ministry? Yes, it is. You just need to use the right “key” that opens the door of God’s favor to you.  The good news is that God offers that key to everyone. Paul discovered it for himself, and then made it his life’s mission to tell everyone who would listen.

Here it is in a nutshell:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’” (Romans 1:16, 17 NIV) 

Note, Paul stated that “the gospel is the power of God.”  And that this power released through the gospel “brings salvation to everyone who believes.”  Power and favor are made available to you through the gospel. 

Now, what is salvation?  The Greek word, soteria, translated salvation in verse 16, is a comprehensive term that includes eternal life, forgiveness of sins, health, finances, wisdom, peace, and divine favor. Salvation is really a divine package. It provides complete wholeness and covers every need.

And what are you to do in order to experience the power of God that accomplishes this salvation and supplies your every need?  You are not required to do a thousand things. You are only asked to do one thing–to place your faith in the gospel and dare to believe the message concerning the gift of righteousness. Simply believe.  

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV) 

Believing this message that God has made you irreversibly righteous through Jesus’ obedience, and that you are no longer under the Law for righteousness, is the key that will unlock the power and favor of God upon you.  The more you believe that you are the righteousness of God by faith and not by works, that being righteous in God’s sight is a gift freely given, not a reward diligently earned, the more you will experience the power of God and every good thing you need for life and godliness will be added unto you.

Child of God, believe God’s good news, the message that God has made you right in His sight on the basis of Jesus’s obedience, and that you are therefore qualified now to receive all favor and every blessing you will ever need.  Believe that God no longer holds your sins and iniquities against you or disqualifies you from any favor or blessing because of your sins and imperfect performance. Make developing your faith in God’s gift of righteousness your number priority spiritually and you will experience an increase flow of favor and power in your life.  

It is that simple, it really is.
