An Ocean of Grace
Can fish live in the ocean and not be totally immersed in water? Can a person be in Christ and not be totally immersed in God’s love, grace and favor? Impossible!
In Ephesians 1:7-8, we find these powerful words:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us.” (NASB)
God is not stingy with grace. According to the dictionary,to lavish something is to release it, or pour it out, extravagantly, to the point of excess; to be wasteful. So when it comes to His grace and us, He is excessive, out of control, wasteful. What He gives us is exceedingly above what we need!
Now, observe a very important point. This abundant grace is not lavished upon us because of who we are, or what we have done, but because of where we are. It is done “in Him.” This unearned, unmerited love and favor is lavished on all those who are in the Beloved Jesus. It is the inheritance of all who have placed their hope in Christ alone.
John writes,
For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. (John 1:16 AMP)
The fullness of Jesus is grace. And those who are in Him receive favor upon favor, blessing upon blessing, and gift heaped upon gift. There is no end to His love.
Child of God, believer in Christ, you are swimming in an ocean of divine grace and unmerited favor. It can not be otherwise.
Grace, grace overflowing grace.
Thank you Bishop.

Good morning Bishop, Great teaching, deep wisdom and may the lord continue to be glorified, Amen.
Wow, Grace, unmerited favor indeed. We are blessed to be part of this blessing (THE GRACE OF GOD).
