The Blessed Life

“The blessed life does not begin with more money in your pocket. It begins with more word in your heart.” (Pastor Jonathan Delturco, International Family Church). How true! How powerful!
In Acts, Paul exhorted the Ephesian elders with these words:
“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32 NKJV)
And in Colossians, he writes:
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16 NKJV)
In Psalms, David writes: Read More
The Greatest Battles In Life
Posted on September 23, 2015 11 Comments
In spiritual warfare, the devil’s primary target is your mind because he knows that if he can control your thoughts, he can control your emotions. If he can control your emotions, he can control your behavior. He knows that the only way he can get into your spirit is to come through your mind. Therefore, he bombards your mind with wrong thoughts designed to produce doubt. Thoughts that produce doubt will lead to discouragement, if not dealt with, which will result in disobedience.

God is Your God Too

What is God’s name? He has many, but one of the names God wanted to be called was “the God of Abraham.” God actually took the name of Abraham as his own and introduced Himself to others using his name. Imagine that–God taking on the name of a man!
It’s usually the other way around. Children take the name of their father; the lesser takes the name of the greater. But we see here just the opposite. God takes Read More
Overcome Your Fear

No doubt you have experienced fear. It is evil. It can paralyze its victims. Fear does not come from God.
In his second and last letter to Timothy, the Apostle Paul warned his spiritual son not to yield to fear, especially as it related to fulfilling the purpose of God for his life. He wrote: “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:6-7 NKJV.

In Mark’s version of the Great Commission, Jesus commands his disciples to go into all the world and “preach the Gospel.”
And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.’ Mark 16:15f NKJV

A Cause for Concern

What would happen if a king pardoned all prostitutes in his kingdom for past transgressions and simultaneously issued a decree that released all prostitutes from future judgment? A lot of joy among prostitutes and a whole lot more prostitution taking place! Even so, simply telling saints the wonderful news that when they received Christ, all of their sins, past, present, and future, were completely forgiven and that as their High Priest, Jesus has secured their release from future judgment and God’s wrath forever, may in fact lead to a lot more sinning. That is cause for concern. Read More
Love Not the World

Do you love the world? A group of first-graders was just ending a tour of a hospital when one of them raised his hands to ask a question. “How come the people who work here are always washing their hands? After the laughter had subsided, a nurse gave a wise answer: “They are ‘always washing their hands’ for two reasons. Read More
New Creation Reality

One of the essential requirements for spiritual growth and maturity is the need to renew our minds concerning who we are, now that we are in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 boldly declares that “if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, and all things have become new.” Your born-again spirit, the immortal you, the real you, is eternally brand new, and made in the image of Jesus.
“Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,” Colossians 3:9-10 NKJV Read More
